Car Race Day - Jan 27
Build and test your own solar-powered car with your
troop, then put it to the test as we race our cars against each
other. As soon as your troop is registered, we'll send you a race
car to assemble. You'll build it and test it, and bring your working
vehicle to race day. Race against other teams to win prizes and
for the "Solar Car Race Day Cup!". We'll be racing indoors,

Florida
Everglades Canoe Trip - Feb 15-20
Travel to Florida, where you'll meet girls from the
Gulfcoast Florida Girl Scout Council. Spend the first night at Camp
Caloosa packing and getting ready, then travel to Florida Everglades
National Park. Spend a half day biking in Shark Valley, where you'll
explore the River of Grass ecosystem and see alligators and herons
up close; then take a shakedown canoe paddle outside of the Ranger
Station. We'll camp overnight, then spend a day paddling to Picnic
Key - an island all our own to explore and camp on. Along the way
we'll look for dolphins and manatee. On our last day, we'll explore
the mangroves looking for rays and mangrove crabs. Attend an informational
meeting at the North Andover Service Center to see slides of the
last trip and get all your questions answered before you register.
The same info will be on our website that week for those who cannot
attend. Notes: You must be comfortable with canoe skills. This is
an individual girl event; adults are welcome to fill spots girls
leave open, but we will not turn away girls to accept adults.

Practice your skills in cooperative games, then put on a harness,
helmet, and gloves, and get ready to FLY. Participants and adults
work together to launch a girl 25 feet into the air and lower her

50 feet, and being free of back and neck problems.
